uniFLOW Version 5 not only enhances its core Output Management capabilities, such as its unique Universal Driver, but also introduces new powerful scan management functionalities including an OCR engine with extensive language support, advanced document compression technology and the capture of index information via zone OCR or barcode recognition.

By controlling both the print and scanning processes of the MFD, uniFLOW allows the IT Manager to administer ONE system with ONE set of user accounts and ONE database. The user has a seamless interaction with the MFD; being able to access all features without learning a new interface. This makes the system exceptionally user-friendly and increases the organisation's productivity.

uniFLOW version 5 also introduces a new dimension in document security. In addition to restricting access to the MFD and controlling how it is used, administrators can now monitor every print, copy, fax or scan job carried out at the Canon MFD. Images of each job are captured and automatically scanned for restricted keywords. Alerts can be configured so that the appropriate action can be taken. For maximum security, jobs can be held and checked for restricted content before they are printed or sent to their scan destination.
